How Does Biden’s Plan Affect Us?

    Boston Globe.com

President Joe Biden has introduced a $2.2 trillion budget for his job plan. It seems as though he is not wasting any time. But first, we will see the most primary issue: the transportation that entails road safety, bridges, commutes, etc. There are numerous transportation issues citizens face, such as people from rural areas cannot easily commute to the cities. However, with this new budget, there will be new road projects which will, in turn, create many jobs and make commutation easier.

President Biden also aims to lower the harmful emissions from conventional vehicles by installing charging points for Electric Vehicles that do not use petrol, such as Tesla. Aiming to go green on the roads is a good initiative. Biden has come up with more such initiatives whose main purpose is to create jobs and keep the environment clean. Many people complain that they are not qualified to do certain jobs, but the new government has been investing in teaching the right skills to people so that they can find better jobs.

There will be much investment in the country's electric grid, which makes sense after what happened in Texas in the snowstorm. We all need to focus on our energy sector, and issues like carbon capture and clean water should be the focal points.

Interestingly, $213 billion is allocated to build and renovate 2 million affordable and sustainable homes. Biden's "Build back better" initiative focuses on giving homes to the homeless in a environmentally friendly way. The president aims to change how we do construction in the country.

There is a tax credit to build houses for low-income families, and $40 billion is allocated to public housing. Moreover, $400 billion is appropriated for housing care for the elderly and disabled people that has come to the limelight. This is double the amount allocated to affordable homes. However, it is all in a sense as disabled people need housing more direly than those who can work their way up by getting jobs. There is also a need to have sustainable real estate in the construction industry that will be a green way to build rather than a conventional building.

Biden is also making the push to go into the renewable energy sector, which is a good initiative as it is the need of the hour. With climate change causing a lot of disturbance around the globe with increased temperatures, rising sea level, and etc., we need green energy sources to combat these issues. Getting rid of coal and oil to produce energy is the need of the hour. We need more clean energy to give to the people.

Conclusion

Evo Opportunity Fund is committed to developing energy-efficient real estate in Qualified Opportunity Zones by creating sustainable housing for all. Evo promises to utilize the radical tax breaks provided by Opportunity Zones. The timing for this opportunity is now.
