Elize and Majesty Gayle, founders of Evo Group Holdings, discuss the state of the Atlanta housing market and how they are working to create sustainable and affordable communities.

Atlanta’s average median home price has been fluctuating amid the pandemic.

According to Redfin, in May of this year, Atlanta home prices were up 24.6% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $405,000.

On average, homes in Atlanta sell after 19 days on the market, compared to 41 days last year.

There were 1,792 homes sold in May this year, up from 1,030 last year.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Majesty and Elize Gayle, founders of Evo Group Holdings, talked with show host Rose Scott about housing-related topics, including how they are reimagining and creating neighborhoods that are sustainable and affordable for all Atlantans.

Evo Haven to launch new development projects in San Francisco

Evo Haven’s CEO, Majesty Gayle, has stated he is looking at San Francisco as another "potential site for development." San Francisco residents can look forward to having affordable, sustainable container home for living available to them soon.  Gayle believes San Francisco is an exciting market as the houses there are very close together, comparing them with townhouses. He mentioned that the houses in this city are priced at around $1.38 million, which were priced at $420,000 not too long ago. With the exponential increase in the prices, Gayle wants to construct sustainable houses that are more affordable and easy on the pockets for those who wish to own houses in San Francisco.  The land Evo Home has selected to build the container houses is excellent and can house mix-use property on it. “It is a very good piece of land,” says Gayle. “There is a vet center nearby and some retail as well. P.U.S.H. Nation Receives a $400,000 Grant from Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs to Renovate and Sell Affordable Property in South Atlanta.

Atlanta, GA - P.U.S.H. Nation is a transitional program that assists tenants in moving towards permanent housing and maintaining reasonable stability. This non-profit is owned by Majesty and Elize Gayle, who are currently working with 7 new construction units and 8 existing property units. Their combined experience allowed their company to generate $1.5M in revenue its first year in business.  The team at P.U.S.H. Nation is consistently seeking new avenues to give back to the community. “I actually found the CHIP grant doing some research on grants for affordable home building”, said Manny Gayle. “I sent the information to our grant consultant, Marsha, to see if she thought this was something we were eligible for. She said yes.
